Imran Khan to hold press conference today

This conference would apparently be in response to prime minister’s address to the nation on Friday. Captain seems to be pulling another clash with the government over Panama Leaks controversy.

It is pertinent here to mention that Pakistan People’s Party, following PTI, has also rejected terms of reference (ToR) announced by the government for the judicial commission.

The ToR described in the letter sent by the government to the Supreme Court included that the commission will investigate former and current holders of public office.

Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari had tweeted yesterday demanding Nawaz Sharif to step down on his own.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had regretted in his address that his political opponents were pressurizing the judges not to be a part of the inquiry commission.

He had said the current crisis, made up by his opponents, was nothing but an eyewash aimed at getting power, by creating instability in the country.

The PM had dismissed the allegations that he paid a little tax as nothing but “blatant lies” and said the people of Pakistan were well aware of the facts.

Nawaz had also said that those who were calling for accountability should also be accounted. “Who will account for the losses of billions which Pakistan incurred due to the dharna (sit-in) circus?”

He had questioned that where were those calling for supremacy of law at the time when he was exiled and sent to Saudi Arabia?
