Imran vows to defeat those who do politics of personal gains

LAHORE: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Thursday said his party will defeat those who do national politics for personal gains, ARY News reported.

“The final decision of destination of Pakistan will be announced on July 25 (the poll day). Lahore will decide (the election pattern) about Punjab and Pakistan,” he said, pointing towards the dominant general perception about Lahore, while addressing his party workers of the NA-131 constituency in Lahore.

Announcing launch of his party campaign in Lahore, he said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had dominated Punjab for the last 21 years. He said Aleem Khan will run PTI’s campaign in Lahore, while Waleed Iqbal will be responsible for the election campaign in NA-131 constituency.

“It would be a tough competition in NA-131. The party workers and supporters have to work hard day in and day out to make the election campaign a success. A match does not end till the last ball and we should not consider any political party as weak,” he said.

The PTI chief said a pool of big politicians were joining the party and those who were accumulating wealth through politics could not contend against obsession of youth.

He said he would personally visit every constituency and the opponents will be defeated through collective efforts.
