ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday said current economic situation had necessitated difficult economic decisions, however, the government was trying its best to protect the poor and vulnerable.
He was speaking at a meeting with leading businessmen and economic experts in Islamabad on Sunday.
The prime minister said input of the business community will help the government remove bottlenecks in ways to attracting investment and ensure growth of industry in the country.
The meeting discussed in detail the current challenges and measures to steer the country out of present situation and putting it on sustainable growth trajectory.

The delegation assured the prime minister of their full support to the government towards implementing its reform agenda and overcoming current economic challenges.
Information Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain on Saturday said the government had to go to the International Monetary Fund for loans under compelling economic situation in the country.
“The country needs eight billion dollars to pay back loans this year,” he said.
The minister said the government was determined not to spare those persons who plundered the national exchequer.
He said he had submitted a resolution in the National Assembly for constitution of a parliamentary commission to identity those responsible for current fragile financial situation of Pakistan and submit its report in one month.
