Imran vows to continue backing anti-polio drive

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan while expressing his determination to fully eradicate polio from Pakistan, has vowed to continue backing the anti-polio drive in order the safeguard the future generations from this dangerous disease – ARY News reports.

During his meeting with a delegation of the Bill Gates Foundation at his residence here on Friday, Imran expressed his concerns over the presence of a disease like polio in Pakistan.

The PTI Chairman told the delegates that the US drone attacks are paralyzing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and urged the Bill Gates Foundation to play its role for this important issue.

He added that the drone attacks are also a vital cause of depriving innocent citizens of their body parts and hence paralyzing them for the rest of their lives.

The delegation of the Bill Gates Foundation praised the efforts and determination of Imran Khan in the Health Sector and declared it a great service for the people.

The foundation also insured its full cooperation regarding the elimination of polio from KP and other fields.

Earlier the PTI Chairman had been issued threats by a banned outfit for supporting anti-polio campaign in the province.
