India beats Pakistan to clinch Kabaddi World Cup title fourth time

LUDHIANA :  India has defeated Pakistan after a thriller by 48-39 in the final of men’s Kabaddi world cup at the Guru Nanak Stadium, Ludhiana on Saturday, ARY news reported.

India has clinched the title for the fourth time, previously the Indian men registered victories by defeating Pakistan twice and Canada in last three world cups held at the same venue in 2010, 2011 and 2013.

Chief Ministers of Punjab of both countries were present on the venue to support the teams.

Pakistan’s Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif before the start of play expressed the hope that people in the Pakistani Punjab and Indian Punjab can come together and work to solve mutually afflicting problems such as low education, boost bilateral trade.
