India deflecting attention of int'l community from its atrocities in Kashmir: Janjua

According to a press release by the Foreign Office, Janjua stated that the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination has been endorsed in the resolutions of United Nations Security Council.

She went on to say that more than 100,000 Kashmiris have been killed since 1989 and have been struggling for more than 60 years.

“The International People’s Tribunal on Human Rights & Justice in Kashmir (IPTK), a credible NGO, published a report of over a 100 page that not only confirmed the presence of unnamed and unmarked mass graves, but also through DNA tests confirming that the graves were of individuals who belong to Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. This is proof of fake encounters in which indigenous Kashmiris have been killed using the false pretext of infiltration,” the release read.

Highlighting the atrocities of Indian forces in Occupied Kashmir, Pakistan’s representative stated that over 100 Kashmiris lost their lives, 10000 were injured and over 700 have sustained injuries in their eyes due to use of pellet guns which resulted in complete or partial blindness over the past two months.

“India is desperately seeking to deflect attention from its state terrorism by claiming that the uprising has no internal roots and equating the Kashmiri struggle with terrorism,” she said.

Janjua urged the international community to take notice of the human right violations being committed in the region whereas a fair and transparent investigation of the brutal killings should be held.
