“They (Ajmal and Hafeez) both had cleared the test in the past. So I question how all the things changed and now they have failed the tests,” Zaka said.
He added that both India and England wanted to hamper Pakistan chances in the World Cup and therefore they managed to have Pakistan’s top players suspended.
Zaka added that he warned Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and had asked them not to send Hafeez to India for unofficial test in Chennai.
“Both India and England have no regard for Pakistan. I knew that that our bowler will fail the test India,” he said. “I asked PCB to send Hafeez to Australia, but they didn’t pay any heed. Now you can see Hafeez cannot bowl during World Cup.”
He said that Pakistan had the best spin bowling attack with both Ajmal and Hafeez sitting in top 10 bowling list before their unfortunate suspension. “Now what we have store for the World Cup, only Ajmal and Hafeez were the top cricketers we would have in World Cup, had the duo were not suspended.”
