ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Hindu Council’s Patron-in-chief Ramesh Kumar Vankwani on Sunday asked India to refrain from interfering into Pakistan’s internal affairs.
In a video message, Ramesh Kumar, referring to a statement of Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, has said that India should not poke its nose in others’ affairs.
He thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan for taking notice of the abduction of two Hindu girls and hoped that all issues pertaining to minorities would now be resolved on permanent basis.
Ramesh Kumar said that the government would bring a legislation to permanently end incidents of forced conversions.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Imran Khan had directed Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar to immediately look into reports that two Hindu girls abducted from Ghotki district had been moved to Rahim Yar Khan after their forced conversion and underage marriages.
The prime minister had called for early recovery of the abducted girls given that these reports are true, according to Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry.
