India not ready for talks, says foreign secretary

JEDDAH: Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua on Tuesday said India was not ready for talks to solve the core issues between the two countries, ARY News reported.

“Prime Minister Imran Khan offered India to have negotiations after assuming charge of his office,” she stated while addressing the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) meeting in Saudi Arabia’s capital.

She relayed that India was not listening to the human rights organization regarding severe rights violations in the occupied Kashmir.

India is ruthlessly killing innocent Kashmirs, who are demanding their right to self-determination according to United Nations’ resolution.

“India is threatening Pakistan for war and also violated our airspace today along LoC,” Janjua said.

She urged the OIC and the UN to take notice of the Indian hostility.

The foreign secretary maintained that Pakistan always wished to have talks with India for solution of lingered on issues between both the countries.

PAF scrambles Indian jets

In the wee hours of February 26, Indian aircraft intruded the LoC near Muzaffarabad sector, however they scrambled back following timely response from the Pakistan Air Force (PAF).

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Major General Asif Ghafoor informed in a tweet, Indian Air Force violated the LoC and the prompt response from the Pakistan Air Force compelled Indian jets to go back.

He said “facing timely and effective response from the PAF, [Indian jets] released [their] payload in haste while escaping, which fell near Balakot.” However, no casualties or damage was reported during the incident, DG ISPR added.
