Scandal flashback: Moment when Indian actress accused Kapil Sharma of harassing her

In November 2015, Indian actress Deepali Sayyad accused Sharma of misbehaving with her at a party.

Kapil Sharma might come across as a friendly and jovial person during his hit show Comedy Nights with Kapil. However, celebrities are known to get wild and fly off the handle at times. A similar thing occurred with Sharma, when he was at a party and started misbehaving with some females there.

Kapil had drunk an ample amount of booze and had started acting inappropriately with a couple of actresses. The party was held to celebrate the wrap of the International Marathi Film Festival Awards 2015. Kapil started to cozy up to some female actors who were present and even tried to force actress Deepali Sayyad to dance with him.

The scene was embarrassing. It was then Kapil tried to dance with Deepali, who understanding his advances, excused herself,” an inside source at the party told an Indian website.

According to the source, the situation was averted when another TV actor sat Kapil down and informed him that his actions were troubling the ladies present at the party.

“It was then that TV actor Sharad Kelkar sat Kapil down and explained to him that his behavior was not going down well with the ladies present.”

The actress had also confirmed the news by issuing the statement:-

“Kapil wanted to dance with me but I did not. I moved away,” she said before adding, “I don’t know Kapil. I prefer to dance with people whom I know. So, I danced with Gutthi and Palak (Sunil Grover and Kiku Sharda).”

Kapil also admittedly hinted towards his mistake and tweeted this message:-

To all Sharma’s fans, this incident fizzle out like a storm in a teacup and was didn’t affect the fan base of the comedian.
