Bollywood actress Asin to quit acting maybe; cites wedding as reason

Bollywood actress Asin has decided to tie the knot with Micromax founder Rahul Sharma. For those of you who are not familiar with Asin, she has worked in renowned Bollywood movies such as Ready, Houseful 2, Ghajini and Khiladi. Hence, Asin has pretty much worked with one of the biggest superstars of the Indian film industry, such as Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar.

According to Bombay Times Asin was introduced to the Micromaz founder by none other than her co-star Akshay Kumar. The 29 year-old actress has stated that she might leave Bollywood for her marriage.

She told Bombay Times, “I am currently wrapping up all my professional commitments so that I can give more time to my personal life. I had anyways stopped signing new projects two years back itself.”

However, Asin will be seen in the upcoming movie which releases this month, All IsWell which also stars Bollywood megastars Abhishek Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor and Supriya Pathak. The movie took two years to make, due to the unavailability of actress Smriti Irani who was made a minister in the Narendra Modi government. Asin was a Bollywood import from the South.

We’ll have to wait and see whether Asin’s decision to quit Bollywood is temporary or permanent.
