Indian films exhibition: LHC adjourns hearing till Dec19th

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has adjourned the hearing of the petition filed against the exhibition of Indian films till 19th December, ARY News reports on Wednesday.

Justice Khalid Mehmood heard the case in the court.

Petitioner Aslam Dar, while stating his stance, said that the exhibition of Indian films has destroyed the Pakistan film industry whereas many people, associated with the film industry have also been unemployed.

He added that the Bollywood films are being illegally exhibited in local cinemas due to which the national treasure is facing loss worth of millions. He also said that these films are setting a bad example in the society therefore the court should issue an order to stop the exhibition.

The court ordered the petitioner to attach the record with his petition and adjourned the hearing till 19th December.
