Indian forces torturing women in held-Kashmir: Mashaal Malik

ISLAMABAD: The wife of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front leader Yasin Malik has alleged that women in Indian-Occupied Kashmir are been subject to brutal state-sponsored torture and violence.

Mashaal Malik stated the Indian Army often resorts to inhumane treatment of Kashmiris, and even women are not spared, which is a gross violation of international human rights.

She said that Kashmir was witnessing change, and thus it was imperative that the issue to resolved amicably under the resolutions of the United Nations for peace and freedom in the region.

She further stated that the world needs peace, not conflicts, and it is necessary to solve all outstanding conflicts around the world including Kashmir and Palestine.

She demanded that India immediately stops the violence and atrocities on innocent Kashmiris, and provide them their basic democratic rights including the right to self-determination.

The Kashmir separatist and freedom movement leader Yasin Malik is under custody of the Indian Army since the past once month, where he has also been reportedly denied medical treatment.
