RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army shot down an Indian spy drone for violating Pakistan’s air space along the ceasefire line on Saturday, ARY News reported.

Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG-ISPR) in his Twitter message said that the spying quadcopter downed in Rakhchikri Sector of the Line of Control (LoC).

“Pakistan Army troops shot down an Indian spying quadcopter in Rakhchikri Sector along Line of Control.”

Major General Asif Ghafoor detailed that the drone had come 150 meters inside Pakistan’s territory.

This is not the first time Pakistan Army shot down an Indian drone. On March 7, Pakistan Army had shot down an Indian spy drone for violating Pakistan’s air space in Chirikot sector along the Line of Control (LoC).

Last in October, an Indian quadcopter “spying across LOC in Rakhchikri sector” was shot down by Pakistan Army shooters.

In November 2016, a similar UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) that intruded into Pakistan was shot down in Rakhchikri sector.
