According to details, Mohammad Hayat was injured as he was campaigning for the local bodies elections. He died in Lahore’s Jinnah Hospital.
Hayat’s family members have blamed the activists of Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) of killing the PTI man.
Tehreek-e-Insaf workers have protested against the incident and demanded the arrest of the people ressponsible for the shooting.
On the other hand, several PTI and PML-N activists were injured following a clash between the supporters of the two parties in Gujranwala.
