Inquiry holds OGRA responsible for petroleum crisis

Prime Minister Sharif in a meeting on Monday formed a two-member committee to inquire into the fuel crisis in the country.

The Premier chair a meeting on the crisis in Prime Minister House today to review the situation.

The inquiry committee in its preliminary report held the Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) responsible for the crisis as regulator. The report said that the regulator failed to fulfill its responsibilities.

The meeting decided to suspend the four officials including deputy managing director of PSO Suhail Butt.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif  in the meeting directed for structural changes to avoid the crisis situation in future.
