KARACHI: The investigation committee on Saturday met with the family members of deceased female medical student Nimrah Baig and recorded their statements.
The two-member probe team, comprising of Noman Siddique and Samiullah Soomro condoled with the bereaved family and assured them of speedy justice. They also visited the crime scene and recorded the statements of eyewitnesses.
It is pertinent to mention here that Nimrah Baig’s father and grandfather had also served in police force. The probe committee will submit its investigation report to the IGP within three days.

Earlier, A girl was reportedly killed, on February 22, in exchange of firing between police and robbers in North Karachi.
An eye-witness, Shahid Niaz Alam had said two suspects were robbing Nimrah at Anda Morr, when upon her screaming for help they shot bullets at her.
Police had instantly arrived at the scene of the robbery and opened fire on the suspects leaving them injured. Police had caught them and brought to Shahrah-e-Noorjehan police station.
While, people rushed the 20-year-old medical student to a nearby hospital in a rickshaw for medical treatment, however she could not survive.
