An auction was held in Lahore and the bid for Karachi Kings was the highest that was made for any franchise, making it the most expensive in the PSL. Many large groups participated in the bidding but ARY’s bid emerged successful.
Several cricketers, past and present, including Imran Khan, Shahid Afridi, Mohammad Hafeez, Virat Kohli, Ravi Shastri, Mohsin Khan, Graeme Smith, Azhar Mehmood and Zaheer Abbas had felicitated ARY Digital Network President and CEO Salman Iqbal for purchasing PSL’s Karachi franchise.
