Ishaq Dar directs PC for transparent divestment

As per press release issued by Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar chaired a Privatization Commission session to outline the future programme of privatization of key public entities on Tuesday.

On the occasion, Chairman Privatization Commission, Mohmmad Zubair informed Finance Minister that in the immediate future, Privatization Commission would focus on divestment of government shares in HBL and Discos besides some other State owned Entities (SoEs).

He said that codal formalities for the same including appointment of advisor for Discos are being undertaken. HBL financial advisors are already appointed, he added.

Ishaq Dar directed the PC to reconvene in a few days for further deliberations on divestment of Discos and HBL.
