ISI, MI representation in judicial body ‘impossible’: Dar

The minister said judicial commissions include judges and not the representatives of security institutions. Imran had demanded yesterday that judicial commission for probing the election rigging must also include the representatives from premier intelligence agency ISI and MI.

Such a demand from Imran Khan was very surprising, told the minister during a press conference in Islamabad.

There is neither a rule of jungle nor monarchy in the country, added the minister.

Dar clarified that the government had not suspended negotiations with the PTI.

He said the prime minister had already dispatched a letter to the Supreme Court for formation of judicial commission to probe alleged rigging in 2013 general elections.

The finance minister said PTI delegation had met only twice with the government team and they did not come after that. “We are ready for negotiations with the PTI, but only under the law,” said Dar.

He reiterated that sit-ins have inflicted huge loss to Pakistan’s economy.
