Islam forbids prejudice against anyone, Imam Kaaba says in Hajj sermon

MAKKAH: Islam teaches peace and the peace only be found through religion, said Imam-e-Kaaba in his Hajj sermon while addressing over two million faithful at Arafat from Masjid-e-Nimra.

Dr. Shaykh Sa’d bin Nasir al-Shithri called the Muslims to evade all kind of prejudice against any Muslim or non-Muslim.

Around one hundred and seventy-nine thousand Pakistanis are among the two million Muslims in Maidan-e- Arafat to perform the Waqoof-e-Arafat, the key ritual of the annual Hajj pilgrimage.

Dr. Shaykh Sa’d bin Nasir al-Shithri in his sermon urged the faithful to keep fearing Allah and adopt piety. Prodding the path of Allah is the only way of emancipation, the Imam told the believers.

“Islam forbids any excess against any Muslim or non-Muslim. We must fully comply the teachings of Sharia,” the Imam added.

“Save yourselves from nationalism, ethnicity and grouping. Islam prohibits terrorism, violence and bloodshed,” the Sheikh said.

He called upon media of the Muslim world to play role for the unity of Muslim Ummah.

“The peace and tranquility of mind can only be found through the religion,” he said.

The pilgrims listened to Hajj sermon. They will offer Zohar and Asr prayers together and stay at Arafat till the call for Maghrib prayer.

After Azaan-e-Maghrib, they will leave for Muzdalfa where they will offer Maghrib and Isha prayers and spend the night under the open sky.
