KARACHI: Sindh Minster for Agriculture, Supply and Prices Muhammad Ismail Rahu on Sunday warned traders that a crackdown will be launched during Ramazan against overpricing, ARY News reported.
The Sindh government has devised a plan to control man-made inflation during the holy month of Ramazan.
“The deputy commissioners will carry out raids on a daily basis. Complaint cells will be established at the DC offices,” said Muhammad Ismail Rahu.
He blamed the federal government for the inflation.
On April 6, Punjab Minister for Industries and Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal had warned that no compromise would be made on the quality and weight of the items that would be sold in the Ramazan bazaars.

Presided over a meeting of Cabinet Committee for Price Control Mian Aslam had said that the purpose of establishing Ramazan Bazars was to provide relief to poor and common men.
He had said that useful consultation had been made with poultry association, flour mills association, sugar mills association and other trader organizations in connection with the Ramazan bazaars.
According to a statement issued by Directorate General Public Relations, the minister had said that 19-items will be available at subsidized rates at fair price shops setup in Ramazan bazaars. He had told the meeting that sugar mills association agreed to provide sugar at the rate of Rs54 kg in Ramazan Bazaars.
