ISPR demands from Business Recorder to apologise for publishing false news: sources

RAWALPINDI: Media wing of armed forces, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Sunday demanded from Business Recorder newspaper to extend apology for publishing false news of meeting between the Army Chief and former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ahmed, ARY News reported.

Sources said the ISPR has taken notice of the news about meeting between the two. It has termed the news as faux.

The media wing of armed forces has warned of legal action in case of not apologizing, said the sources.

They said the report about Director General ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor’s ‘political meetings’ abroad was also false.

“False news are deliberately being spread,” said the sources.
