JUIF protests against assassination attempt on Khalid Mahmood Soomro

SUKKUR: Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUIF) staged a protest demonstration outside the Sukkur Press Club, against an assassination attempt on Khalid Mahmood Soomro late on Monday night – ARY News reports.

According to details, JUIF workers gathered outside the press club and chanted loud slogans against the assassination attempt on their party leader. The protesters demanded the authorities to order a probe into the incident and arrest the culprits at the earliest.

Yesterday late at night, unknown assailants opened fire at the vehicle of Khalid Mahmood Soomro, yet he remained safe fortunately. The culprits fled away after an exchange of fire with the security guards of Soomro.

The JUIF leader received minor injuries caused due to splinters as the window panes of his vehicle were shattered because of firing by the culprits.
