It wouldn’t be a cliché to say Junaid Jamshed’s voice is immortal. The singer-turned-preacher may have quit singing by the time of his death but his fans are far from forgetting the iconic songs he rendered as part of Vital Signs.
Hits like Ankhon ko Ankhon Ney and Dil Dil Pakistan will forever rule the hearts of his fans.
A documentary titled ‘Ansoo’ based on the life of Junaid Jamshed (JJ) has recently been issued on social media. It has been produced by former Junoon guitarist Salman Ahmad.
“Music is the original, authentic language which brings together everyone together,” Jamshed can be heard as saying in the beginning of documentary.
The documentary featuring him is a tribute to the late singer on his first death anniversary. The eight-minute long documentary features various videos clips from JJ’s early life and his performance.
Junaid Jamshed , who was a regular part of ARY Digital’s Shan-e-Ramzan, lost his life in a plane crash on December 7, 2016.
Jamshed along with 46 others, boarded flight PK-661 from Chitral on December 7. The plane was to reach Islamabad but it crashed near Havelian village of Punjab. The crash killed all on board.
His funeral prayers were offered at AKD Ground DHA in the Karachi on December 15 and he was buried in a religious seminary Dar-ul-Uloom Korangi.
