‘I have a lot of work to do in a limited time’ Junaid Jamshed told friend

Singer-turned-preacher Junaid Jamshed’s son Taimur Junaid and his close friend Khalid appeared on ARY Zindagi’s morning show ‘Salam Zindagi’ and revealed a lot about late Junaid Jamshed who was not only a great father and a religious figure but much beyond it.

“My wife asked Junaid Bhai, you travel a lot, do you give time to your children, don’t they complain about it. He replied that this is the trajectory of my life, I have a lot of work to do and have limited time,” reminisced Khalid, Junaid Jamshed’s friend. (at 30:50 in the video below).

Show host Faisal Qureshi too claimed that he heard that Junaid Jamshed used to say that he won’t live long.

“We heard that he used to say I would live till 52 years maximum,” said Faisal Qureshi. (29:35 in the video)

Junaid Jamshed’s son Taimur Junaid told host Faisal Qureshi that though he knew that people seldom survive a plane crash, it was difficult for him to believe if it had really happened.

“We were finding excuses that who knows if he had missed his flight, he would have jumped from the plane before the crash,” said Taimur remembering December 7 when his father died in the plane crash.

He added that his mother wanted to leave for Islamabad after hearing the news of the plane crash but he stopped her.

About how he brought up him and his siblings, Taimur Junaid claimed that Junaid Jamshed was a very loving father and never forced his children for anything.

“I don’t remember if he ever scolded me, he used to explain everything with affection,” said Taimur Junaid, adding that he only emphasised on offering prayers on time.

Pop singer-turned-religious preacher Junaid Jamshed and his wife lost their life in a plane crash on December 7.

Jamshed along with 46 others, boarded flight PK-661 from Chitral on December 7. The plane was to reach Islamabad but it crashed near Havelian village of Punjab. The crash killed all on board.

His funeral prayers were offered at AKD Ground DHA in the Karachi on December 15 and he was buried in a religious seminary Dar-ul-Uloom Korangi.
