Late Justice Javed Iqbal served as the Chief Justice of Lahore High Court and later as senior judge of Supreme Court.
He was under treatment for at Lahore’s Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital.
His funeral prayers will be offered at 4:00pm in Lahore today.
President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif have expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal.
In their condolence messages, lauding the services of Javed Iqbal they said his death a huge loss for the country. They have prayed eternal peace for the departed soul.
