Karachi: Angry mob thrash robber to death in Orangi Town

KARACHI: People thrashed a robber to death after a man injured during a robbery attempt in Orangi Town, ARY News reported on Saturday.

The robbers, during a robbery attempt, injured a man Owais in Orangi Town. The mob gathered during the incident, overpowered the robber and thrashed him to death.  An accomplice of the slain robber, was also caught by the people, who handed over to the law enforcement agencies.

Police arrested four robbers in different parts of Karachi.

According to details, policemen nabbed two robbers looting citizens near Link Road in Awami Colony area. SSP Korangi said that the arrested robbers were identified as Adnan and Jahanzaib.  “Weapons, stolen mobile phones and cash recovered from the arrested robbers,” SSP Korangi said,

Police arrested two robbers in a wounded state following an exchange of fire in Khawaja Ajmer Nagri, in another incident.

Police officers in plain clothes, arrested District Central Human Rights Coordinator of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Faisal Shaikh, a brother of the arrested PPP worker said. The area police, however, expressed their ignorance about the alleged arrest of the political worker.

Moreover, Rangers personnel arrested five suspects from Old Sabzi Mandi area in a search operation, officials said.
