Speaking after the dinner in the honour of local and foreign businessmen at old US consulate, Teli argued that the law and order situation in Karachi is not worse than other metropolises of the world adding that the crime rate in the city is lower than big cities of developed countries.
He maintained that seemingly safer cities like Paris, Italy, London and New York face the menace of daylight robberies and street crime.
KCCI President Iftikhar Ahmed Vohra said that Karachi is Pakistan’s economic hub and Pakistan can provide better opportunities to world traders in textile, dairy, cosmetics, energy and cold storage sector.
The Expo Pakistan exhibition was inaugurated by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif of Pakistan on Thursday, and is being attended by at least 1,000 delegates from 70 countries.
