Karachi police issue alternative traffic plan for Eid Milad-un-Nabi

KARACHI: The Karachi police on Tuesday issued an alternative traffic plan for Eid Milad-un-Nabi for the convenience of the general public.

According to the details, traffic will be diverted from MA Jinnah Road at 1 pm on Wednesday as three main Eid Milad-un-Nabi processions will be organised on the main artery.

As the main procession will be taken out from Memon Masjid, traffic from the side of Lea Market, Agha Khan Jamat Khana, Kharadar, Crane Chowrangi, G Allana Road and Mai Kolachi will not be allowed to proceed to MA Jinnah Road.

The vehicular traffic from Keamari via Jinnah Bridge will not be allowed to proceed to Merewether Tower and diverted to alternate roads from Jinnah Bridge. Whereas traffic from Merewether Tower to MA Jinnah Road will be diverted to I. I. Chundrigar Road.

While vehicles coming from Mumtaz Hassan Road and Aiwan-e-Tijarat Road will be diverted to Sindh Madressatul Islam University.

Traffic coming from University Road and Guru Mandir towards MA Jinnah road will not be allowed to move ahead.

It is pertinent to mention here that the preparations to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) are in top gear countrywide.

The Eid Milad-un-Nabi will be celebrated on Wednesday i.e. 12 Rabi ul Awal.

According to details, special programmes are being chalked out to highlight various aspects of the life of the last Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH).
