“Viewing human rights violation and deaths of thousands of innocent people in Kashmir and protests at international level against Indian brutalities in the valley, the British authorities understand that they should play their role in resolving the Kashmir issue,” he said while talking to ARY News reporter in London.
Ibne Abbas said he had seen keen interest in the UK for new markets and China Pakistan Economic Corridor, after saying goodbye to European Union. UK was also ready to help stop human rights violation in Kashmir, he added.
He said after Brexit, UK was looking for influx of foreigners and exploring for new markets. Pakistanis should take benefit of this situation.
“Trade volume between both the parties has risen up to three billion pounds and the next target is to raise it up to four billion pounds,” he said.
“Prime ministers of Pakistan and UK had made resolve to edge up trade volume up to three billion pounds and we have reached that target and now Pakistan-UK trade volume will be boosted up to four billion pounds till 2019,” he said.
Post-Brexit, business opportunities have increased for Pakistanis in UK. Hence, Pakistan is looking for Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) with the country, he said.
Ibne Abbas said the UK government had increased export fund for Pakistan from 200 million pounds to three hundred pounds, which will subsequently benefit Pakistani expatriates in UK.
