A couple of days ago, Bollywood was ablaze with news that actor Ranbir Kapoor had confirmed his marriage with Katrina Kaif and chosen next year to tie the knot with his girlfriend. However, after media went bonkers over recent news of both megastars prepping to get married next year, Ranbir and Kat both came forward to deny the statement had any truth to it. The actor however, did not deny the fact that he was in love but stated that marriage next year was not on the cards, at the moment.

“Yes, I am in love but I have not made any marriage plans yet. There are so many rumours surrounding my marriage like sometime people have quoted me that I am getting married next year. But there are no plans as such,” Ranbir stated at the promotion of his upcoming film Bombay Velvet.

Katrina Kaif’s spokesperson also denied the actress had any plans to marry at the moment and that there was no truth to any statement being circulated about the couple. “There is no truth to these wedding dates, there are no plans as yet.”

The denial from both stars comes after Ranbir was quoted by a leading Indian newspaper that he was in love and would wed Katrina next year. (Also read: Ranbir Kapoor confirms marriage plans with Katrina!)

Ranbir was quoted as saying,“This year both of us are extremely busy, so there won’t be any time for marriage. We have planned to tie the knot by the end of next year. Both of us have agreed on that,” Ranbir was quoted as saying in an interview.

Ranbir and Katrina had started dating a couple of years ago after the Kapoor lad’s break-up with actress Deepika Padukone. Ranbir and Katrina have starred together in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani as well as in Raajneeti.  The two stars will be seen in an upcoming Bollywood flick Jagga Jasoos.
