Keanu Reeves speaks up about working in Marvel films

The reports of actor Keanu Reeves working in a Marvel Cinematic Universe film are making rounds and the actor has spoken up about it.

The Matrix Resurrections star, speaking with a foreign news agency, confirmed that he met with the primary producer of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a possible role in one of the flicks.

Keanu Reeves said that nothing came out of it.

“We have met, and [Kevin Feige]’s a cool cat,” he said as quoted in the report. “Yeah. But no, we don’t have anything, gotta find something.”

Recently, the Speed star had shown interest in playing a role in the upcoming films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

He added that it would be an honour for him as outstanding visionaries and directors have worked in it. He mentioned that it will be cool to be part of Marvel films as it is special in terms of production and ambition.

Keanu Reeves, who reprised his role of Thomas Anderson aka Neo, has not been cast in the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Phase 4 began with the release of Black Widow, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Eternals and Spider-Man: No Way Home.

The upcoming films are Doctor Stanger in the Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, The Marvels, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 along with Ant-Man and the Wasp.

It is pertinent to mention that his Matrix co-star Carrie-Anne Moss – who played the role of Trinity – has worked in a Marvel project. She was seen as Jeryn “Jeri” Hogarth in show Marvel Studios’ thriller show Jessica Jones.
