Khursheed advises Nawaz to step down

TOP NEWS

Khursheed Shah, speaking to media outside National Assembly, said that PM Sharif should voluntarily step down from office for the betterment of the system and call mid-term elections in the country.

“Nawaz will be a victim if he is forced to resign. No objective can be achieved by force”, he said.

He urged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leaders Imran Khan and Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri to create such an environment that Sharif calls for mid-term elections in the country.

Opposition leader added that outside forces take advantage of the infighting between political leaders. He added that the political parties have been united to defend the democracy and parliament for the first time in history of Pakistan.

“Nawaz did not live up to the expectations of the nation that’s why he is facing the reaction from the people”, he added.

Khursheed Shah also said that Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif should have resigned the same day the Model Town Incident took place.
