A Christian couple, Sajjad and Shama, were molested, physically assaulted, humiliated by an enraged mob and then burnt alive in a brick kiln in Kot Radha Kishan area on November 04.

The Christian couple was accused of allegedly desecrating the Holy Quran in Kot Radha Kishan town around 60 kilometres distance from Lahore.

Police arrested 53 people following the incident. Four of the arrested accused were held on physical remand and produced before the ATC today.

The accused included the owner of the brick kiln and a cleric of a local mosque were produced in the court. The cleric has been accused of inciting the mob against the couple, which led to the lynching incident.
