PESHAWAR: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has unanimously passed a joint resolution demanding the federal government to immediately hang Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav.

The resolution was moved by Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) lawmaker Mufti Said Janan and it was endorsed by all the lawmakers in the House.

The resolution stated: “Jadhav is an agent of Indian spy agency RAW and he has been active in spreading turmoil and terror in Pakistan for a long time.” It added that Jhadav has confessed to all the allegations against him and was sentenced to death after completing all the legal requirements yet his execution is being delayed.

“This assembly recommends that the federal government carry out his death sentence immediately so that other countries or individuals avoid carrying out such shameful, intolerable and unforgivable acts in the country,” the resolution read.

Pakistani security agencies on March 24, 2016 apprehended an ‘on-duty RAW agent’ from Balochistan. The suspect was said to be an officer of the Indian navy working for the covert agency to destabilize Pakistan.

The man, named by the army as Kulbushan Sudhir Jadhav who also goes by the alias Hussein Mubarak Patel, wasthen moved to an undisclosed location for interrogation and he spilled the beans.

The Indian naval officer had confessed to committing and planning subversive activities inside Pakistan.

The operative had contacts with banned organizations and was working on plans to break Karachi and Balochistan away from Pakistan, and to sabotage the billion dollar China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
