Kuwait Restricts Water Sales to Five Cartons Per Customer

KUWAIT CITY: The appointed Director of the Union of Cooperative Societies, Mariam Al-Awad, has issued a circular limiting the purchase of water cartons to a maximum of five per customer.

The cap applies to both central markets and all branches affiliated with cooperative societies.

The directive stated that the temporary purchase limit has been introduced in light of the exceptional circumstances currently facing the country, to ensure availability and prevent stock shortages.

The Kuwait government has taken the measure owing to US-Israel  aggression on Iran and thereafter retaliation by later on the US basis in the Gulf region.
