Lahore: Court orders FIR registration against 3 including Geo owner

LAHORE: A sessions’ court in Lahore has ordered immediate registration of case against Geo and Jang group owner, Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman, Mir Ibrahim and journalist Amir Mir, ARY News reported on Monday.

A petition was filed at the court seeking action against Mir Shakeel, Mir Ibrahim and Amir Mir for subjecting defence institutions to unfair criticism and false allegations. The court ordered against the trio on petition of petitioner Aftab Wark.

The court ordered CCPO Lahore to register case in Islampura Police Station.

The petitioner said Jang and Group proved itself being the anti-state entity by targeting defence institutions including the ISI.
