ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Law has issued the notification of the appointment of Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani as the new Chief Justice (CJ) of Pakistan – ARY News reports.
According to the notification issued on Wednesday, senior most judge of the Supreme Court (SC), Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani will take over the office of the CJ from December 12, 2013.
The President of Pakistan, Mamnoon Hussain will administer the oath to the new CJ before he takes charge of his responsibilities.
The Ministry of Law issued the notification after the President had approved the appointment upon the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s advice.
