LAHORE: Lahore High Court on Thursday ordered for holding local government elections in Punjab on party basis.Petitions challenging holding of the local bodies elections under Punjab Local overnment Act 2013 was heard by a bench of the Lahore High Court. The bench had reserved its verdict on the identical petitions on November 1st.
Various political parties, lawyers and others had filed petitions against holding local government elections on non-party basis in the province.
