Kunwar Naveed telephoned Rashid Nasim that some participants of the JI electoral rally attacked the MQM camp near Al-Azam Square and beat even female workers of MQM.
Naveed maintained that these incidents are ‘unfortunate’ and both parties shall work together to prevent such incidents in future.
Both the leaders agreed that workers of both the parties should behave patiently.
MQM Rabita Committee statement
Earlier MQM Rabita Committee strongly condemened what it called an attack on its camp during JI’s rally in Liaquatabad.
MQM RC claimed that some miscreants in JI rally chanted hateful slogans which resulted in the unfortunate scuffle adding that that the tragic episode seemed planned as MQM was blamed soon after the incident.
MQM is trying hard to make sure that the political activities during by-polls go on peacefully and the whole MQM leadership is making sincere efforts for the cause.
MQM chief Altaf Hussain has already instructed workers to refrain from chanting opposing slogans on any political or religious leader’s arrival.
