Haddin, Sami help Islamabad United beat Karachi Kings by nine wickets

Karachi Kings, being invited to take guard first, could only manage to put up 111/9 on the scoreboard in their given 20 overs. Only two sixes were hit in the innings.

Ravi Bopara was the top scorer for the team as he made 37 runs from 36 balls with the help of a boundary and a six while Lendl Simmons made 19 runs for the team which included three boundaries an a maximum.

Ryan Ten Doeschate made 16 runs for the side.

Mohammad Sami was the stand out bowler for Islamabad United as he took five wickets and conceded eight runs in his four overs while Andre Russell dismissed two batsmen.

The Islamabad side, chasing 112 runs to win, easily reached the total with more than five overs to spare and nine wickets in hand.

Brad Haddin and Dwayne Smith both scored half centuries in the run chase. Haddin made an unbeaten 52 runs with the help of four boundaries and three sixes where Smith remained not out at 50 runs with seven fours and a six to his name.

Islamabad United will face Peshawar Zalmi for a place in the final against Quetta Gladiators.
