Locals move in as Tirah declared terrorist-free

KHYBER AGENCY: Security forces have cleared the Tirah Valley of all terrorists, after which local residents who had migrated to safer places, have not started returning to their native land – ARY News reports.

According to details, security forces declared the Tirah Valley cleared of all terrorists and the state writ was restored there successfully. Locals, who had migrated to safer places almost a year ago, started returning to the valley on Wednesday. Scores of masses had left the area due to a military operation against terrorists and miscreants.

These 7700 affected families are returning to their homes after more than a year, and all the residents are expected to re-settle in their native area by June 7.

The affected families are also being provided free six months' ration, transport and Rs 25 thousand.
