LUMS wins best peace project at US Department of State

University students from around the world developed campaigns and social media strategies against violent extremism that are credible, authentic, and believable to their peers and resonate within their communities.

Pakistan’s project “Fate: From apathy to empathy” took first place and won $5,000 to expand their campaign within their local community, the US Consulate General Lahore stated on its official Facebook page.

In 2016, a group from Pakistan, Switzerland, and the United States presented their final projects at the U.S. Department of State.
