According to details, work on the Lyari Expressway was started in 2002 and was supposed to conclude by 2004. However, 13 years after starting the project, it yet remains unfinished.
This clearly demonstrates the government’s unjust attitude towards Karachi. While Lahore was given due importance with schemes such as the Metro Bus Project, a single project such as the Lyari Expressway could not be completed according to the time it was scheduled to be finished.
