Mahira Khan’s upcoming film ‘Verna’ seems to be in serious trouble as the censor board has not issued a certificate for the film.
Directed by Shoaib Mansoor, the film was scheduled to be releases on November 17. However, the premiere for the film tonight has been cancelled in Lahore.
The censor board has not yet issued a certificate for the film, which is mandatory for release and screening in cinemas.
It is known that the certificate was not issued due to certain objectionable scenes and dialogues, and that the censor board considered the theme as too bold for the audience.
The film was eagerly awaited but it seems that Mahira would have to wait longer for the release.
