ISLAMABAD: The government has decided for massive reshuffle in the federal bureaucracy, citing sources ARY News reported on Wednesday.

The government has decided to transfer those officials who have been sticking to their positions for over three years or believed to have been appointed because of their “political leanings.”

The order to the effect has been issued to the Establishment Division, well placed sources said.

According to sources, the government has decided to reshuffle the bureaucracy to remove the officials holding key offices in the previous government of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

After April reshuffle in the federal cabinet there were speculations about massive reshuffle in the federal bureaucracy, there were also reports that notices have been issued to officials posted on political grounds.

According to earlier media reports, Prime Minister Imran Khan held consultations with ministers over the matter after recent change in the federal cabinet.

Several secretaries of federal ministries and divisions are likely to be reshuffled in the process.
