TANDO ALLAHYAR: Police on Saturday arrested a man for allegedly selling his newborn child for fifteen thousand rupees, ARY News reported.

Kazbano Qambrani, a resident of Madinah Colony, filed a complaint that her husband Abdul Ghafoor Qambrani, who was a drug addict, has sold their newly born child four days ago.

SHO Adam Khan Abro took action and arrested her husband, and also took into custody the couple, Allah Dita Qambrani and wife Sobia, whom he had allegedly sold the child. The couple’s housemaid Khadija, who delivered the child, has also been arrested.

Police rescued the infant and handed him over to his mother. She said that she was not even shown her child in the hospital, while her husband threatened to kill her if she asked about him.

Khadija Qambrani denied the mother’s claim that the child had been sold, and instead had been adopted by the childless couple. She said the Kazbano had asked them to cover the child’s medical expenses in hospital which they have paid.

She said that the child was handed over by Kazbano and they had video to proof it. She alleged that Kazbano, on behest of her brothers, has laid the blame on them.

Kazbano’s husband and Allah Dita Qambrani have also denied her claims. Police lodged a case and have started further investigation.
