MIRAMSHAH: In a bid to uplift the tribal districts, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan announced to establish a medical college and university in the newly merged tribal areas.
Addressing a public meeting in Younas Khan Park on Saturday, CM Mahmood Khan vowed to bring terrorism affectees back to their hometowns.
He said that education, health facilities and infrastructure were the top priorities of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf led government. The chief minister vowed to ensure law and order in the tribal districts.
On the occasion, CM Mahmood announced a package of billions of rupees for infrastructure development, rehabilitation, educational and health facilities. He said that the package would address the grievances of the people of tribal districts.
He said that 3G and 4G mobile phone service would be provided in the tribal areas. The chief minister promised that he would inaugurate a cadet college, medical college and a university in the next visit.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan, on December 14, had directed the authorities to provide health, education and utilities to the people of tribal areas.
Chairing a high-level meeting on KP-FATA merger in Peshawar, Prime Minister Imran Khan had ordered to constitute an implementation committee headed by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) chief minister and governor for every tribal district.
He had said the provincial ministers and senators hailing from the respective tribal districts should also be included in the committees.
