Meesha Shafi granted time till Aug 13 to present reply in Ali Zafar’s defamation case

LAHORE: Meesha Shafi, a well known singer is once again asked by session court on Thursday to response regarding Rs1 billion defamation case filed against singer Ali Zafar.

Earlier it was expected that she will respond till 5th July, but there is complete silence from her side. Furthermore, additional Sessions Judge Shehzad Ahmed stated that a court’s notice shall be put on her residential gate which inquires about her reponse related to this case.

Meesha is given time till 13th August for a response, as earlier the hearing was on june 25th and then date of July 5th was decided in order to get the response of Meesha. Since she is completely silent on this matter, therefore court has granted her some more time for her reply.

Ali Zafar said in court, “Meesha has put false claims on me for harassing her, just for the sake of publicity. Now, my name is stained around the world due to her fake accusations.”

Previously, in April 2018, Meesha  this year, Meesha alleged Ali has sexually beleaguered her. Later Ali Zafar took oath to drag this case to court.  Under the Defamation Ordinance 2002, the case is filed asserting compensation of Rs1 billion.

Meesha’s silence is putting up questions on her, and there is no update related to this matter by now.
